Beginner and Intermediate Classes

The beginner and intermediate classes are combined. During the beginner and intermediate classes you are taught the National Training System which includes the KSL Shot Cycle, specific physical training, stretching and which calisthenics you should use to get stronger for archery.

We focus on the KSL Shot Cycle, especially for the Posture and Stance, Body Alignment and Core Strength during the shot cycle.

At least once a month we shoot a Qualification Round. A Qualification Round is 10 ends, with 3 arrows per end on a FITA Target Face. The youth  archers (up to 20 years old or your Red Star) shoot on a 60 cm target face. The adult archers shoot for their first start (Green Star) on the 60 cm target face at 9 meters and then move to 18 meters and the 60 cm target face for their Purple Star; after achieving the Purple Star all adult students shoot on the 40 cm target face.

All youth students start shooting at 9 meters with a Barebow. Once you have achieved your Gray Star, your are allowed to shoot at 18 meters with a sight and long stabilizer.

All adult students start shooting at 9 meters with a Barebow. Once you have achieved your Gray Star, you are required to shoot at 18 meters with a sight and long stabilizer.
