BEST Method - Anchor

The anchor is the location where your bow string, string hand, pinky finger and thumb touch your face. The anchor is the back half of your sight. The anchor must be consistent for aiming.

Move the string hand from your sternum to under your jaw. The anchor position is with the knuckle of the drawing index finger being under the jaw with thumb touching the neck and the pinky finger touching the side of your neck. The upper edge of the index finger hand lies on the inside of the jaw bone. The bow string touches the tip of your nose, The string touches your face, very close to the chin; just around the corner from your chin.

For the first part of the anchor motion, just allow the string hand to travel straight up to the jaw and if the index finger does not lie along the jaw bone, then lift the drawing elbow until the index finger lies along the jaw bone. The drawing elbow should not have to be very high. If the drawing elbow is above the ear, then lift the chin to help position the index finger and the draw elbow.
