The transfer is the final preparation of the back for the end of the shot process. By moving LAN2 even closer towards your spine you place even more tension in the back muscles.
Transfer all tension from the front half of the body to the back half; transfer all tension from the forearms to the back; transfer all focus from everywhere else to the back. Move LAN2 even closer to the spine. The bow hand, string forearm, and string hand should be relaxed while maintaining a good bow hand and a good string hand. The draw side triceps must maintain its tension. The string side upper arm must be relaxed as much as possible.
The timing of load, anchor and transfer is “1, 2 and 3”. The “1” is counted while touching the hand to the sternum. “2 and” are counted while loading the back and anchoring followed by a very short pause. The “3” is counted during transfer of all movement to the back by moving LAN2 even more towards the spine.
