Indoor Archery Range

An Indoor Archery Range can be set-up in any suitable space. The typical indoor space is a full size basketball court, or any space about the same size. The ceilings must be at least 11 feet tall. The walls of the space are protected by an archery net; a fine mesh net ten feet tall by thirty feet wide. The net “catches” all arrows that miss the targets. Typically, the net is set up under one backboard and the equipment is set up under the other backboard. The distance from the shooting line to the targets is 18 meters. The distance from the shooting line to the waiting line is 1.5 meters. The area behind the waiting line, with the equipment, is where the participants are when they are not shooting. The safety line is 1.5 meters from the targets. The indoor space must have controlled access to it. Any down range doors must be locked to prevent access to the target area during shooting.
