Outdoor Archer’s Cup
The 2012 Outdoor Archer’s Cup is a tournament intended for competitors to demonstrate their superior skills as an outdoor target archer. The tournament is a Star FITA tournament, using the Outdoor FITA Constitution and Rules, USA Archery Traditional Rules and the USA Archery dress code that will be in effect at the time of the tournament.
The FITA Olympic, Longbow, Traditional Recurve and FITA Barebow archers are shooting 144 arrows at four distances. For the FITA Compound divisions, Seniors, Master 50, Master 60, Master 70, Juniors and Cadets, the distance is 50 m, for Cubs the distance is 40 m, Bowman the distance is 25 m. For the longer distances the 122 cm target will be used. For the shorter distances the 80 cm target will be used. For FITA Compound, the 80 cm six ring target will be used.
The FITA Compound archers are shooting a single distance for all 144 arrows. The Senior and Masters 50, Masters 60, Masters 70, Juniors and Cadets are shooting 50 meters. The Cubs are shooting 40 meters. The Bowman are shooting 25 meters. For all compound archers, the 6 ring 80 cm target is used.
The divisions are FITA Olympic Bow (Recurve), FITA Compound Bow, Longbow (Traditional and Modern American combined), Traditional Recurve, and FITA Barebow. Outdoor FITA Constitution and Rules are in effect for FITA Olympic Bow, FITA Compound Bow, and FITA Barebow. USA Archery Traditional rules are in effect for Longbow and Traditional Recurve.
The tournament will be held on June 16th & 17th 2012. Open practice is on the tournament field on June 15th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There is open practice from 8:00 am to 8:45 pm on June 16th and 17th. The tournament will begin at 9:00 am on June 16th and June 17th.
The tournament will be held at Memorial Park, 194 Hope St., Mansfield, MA.
