Rules of the Range
As with all sports, there are rules of conduct while participating in the sport.
The specific archery rules are:
-
Always obey the instructors or range officer.
-
Always walk on the archery range.
-
Always keep your arrows in your quivers while walking.
-
The only arrow allowed out of your quiver is the arrow you are shooting, or the
arrows already shot.
-
No horseplay is allowed, that is no pushing, shoving, rough housing, or hitting
anyone; in other words keep you hands to yourself.
-
For indoor ranges, do not go behind the targets to retrieve your arrows. The
instructors will go behind the targets to retrieve all the arrows.
-
Only one person is allowed between the safety line and each target at a time.
-
Stay behind the waiting line while you are waiting for your turn to shoot.
-
When you are done shooting, return to the waiting area, behind the waiting
line.
-
Do not cross the shooting line until you are told to do so.
