Rules of the Range

As with all sports, there are rules of conduct while participating in the sport. The specific archery rules are:

  1. Always obey the instructors or range officer.
  2. Always walk on the archery range.
  3. Always keep your arrows in your quivers while walking.
  4. The only arrow allowed out of your quiver is the arrow you are shooting, or the arrows already shot.
  5. No horseplay is allowed, that is no pushing, shoving, rough housing, or hitting anyone; in other words keep you hands to yourself.
  6. For indoor ranges, do not go behind the targets to retrieve your arrows. The instructors will go behind the targets to retrieve all the arrows.
  7. Only one person is allowed between the safety line and each target at a time.
  8. Stay behind the waiting line while you are waiting for your turn to shoot.
  9. When you are done shooting, return to the waiting area, behind the waiting line.
  10. Do not cross the shooting line until you are told to do so.
