Team Aces

Team Aces is the archery team for Ace Archers JOAD. The athletes are both youth and adults. We train together, shoot together, and attend tournaments together.

Teams Aces Membership is by invitation and qualification. The coaches review the current Ace Archers JOAD membership and then invite the archers that want to succeed at tournaments and met our qualifications to join the team. Once a team member, the athlete must maintain their team responsibilities.

Team Aces Member have specific benefits while maintaining their team membership.

We meet during the Tournament Class on Saturdays from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Everyone in the Tournament Class must be ready to shoot at 1:10 PM for stretching and warm-ups.

We usually shoot the Sunday afternoon line for all tournaments. The coaches shoot the Sunday morning line. The coaches attend every tournament we are able to attend, though sometimes work or other issues get in the way.

This year, 2011-2012, we started with a bang at the 2011 Cobweb Classic Tournament at Ace Arches, Inc. in Foxboro, MA with 6 medals from 7 archers!

The next tournament was the 17th Bay State Indoor Open at ArcheryUSA in Dedham, MA where there 4 athletes attending and 3 medals won!

Next we attended the 2011 Star FITA at Lunenburg Sportsmen’s Club at Lunenburg Sportsmen’s Club in Lunenburg, MA. We had 3 athletes attending and brought home 3 medals, all first place!

In the 2011 SAAM JOAD Championships and Star FITA Competition at Riverside Gun Club in Hudson, MA we had 7 archers attending and took home 8 medals! Two team members brought home medals in two categories.

Our next tournament is the 2/19/2012 Ace Archers Indoor Warm-up!
