Weather Policy

Ace Archers, Inc. fully supports target archery as an indoor sport. We acknowledge that weather can cause unsafe conditions that make either travel to the indoor venue unsafe. In order to provide guidance to whether you should travel to either venue here is Ace Archer, Inc. Weather Policy.

Our indoor facility is located at 131 Morse Street, Foxboro, MA 02035. We are open year round.

1. If the local schools in the Town of Foxboro are closed due to unsafe weather conditions, Ace Archers, Inc. will be closed indoors.
2. If the State of Massachusetts or the Town of Foxboro declares a State of Emergency, Ace Archers, Inc. will be closed at our indoor facility.
3. If there is an Adverse Travel Advisory from the National Weather Service due to weather conditions, then Ace Archers, Inc. will be closed.

If we need to close the Indoor Facility, we will announce the closure on the front page of our website and on our facebook page.

If you have a reservation or a scheduled class, we will call you if at all possible. Please realize, that power outages will adversely affect the ability to call people and  cancel reservations and scheduled classes.

We will try to post the closing information on our telephone answering machine at the Indoor Facility. The phone number is 774-215-5292. Posting the closing information on our telephone answering machine is not always possible due to weather conditions

If you are in doubt about getting safely to Ace Archers, Inc. then don’t come. We can always try to reschedule your reservation or class.

For outdoor practice or classes:

• If the temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and there is any precipitation, or winds in excess of 8 mph, then outdoor practice is cancelled. There is too much danger of hypothermia.
• If the temperature is below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and there is more than light precipitation, or winds in excess of 10 mph, or there is any thunder and lightning, then outdoor practice is cancelled, There is too much danger of hypothermia.
If the temperature is 70 degrees, and there is thunder and lightning before outdoor practice, then practice is cancelled.
• During practice, if there is any thunder and lightning, then everyone must exit the field for 30 minutes after the last occurrence of thunder or lightning.
• f we must exit the field due to thunder or lightning 4 times or more, the rest of practice is cancelled
