COVID-19 Changes
With the COVID-19 pandemic we had to change many things. The most important is the cleaning and sanitation that we do here at the shop.
Everyone must make an appointment to do anything in the shop (range time, bow fitting, arrow fitting, private coaching, video analysis, classes, etc.) since we must limit the number of people in the shop to 20 (16 customers and 4 staff members). No significant others are allowed (parents, grandparents, guardians, spouse, or friends). Either you are shooting, working, or getting fitted for equipment.
Everyone must wear a mask while in the shop, even while shooting. It won’t prevent you from getting COVID-19, but if you have it, it will stop the spread.
We limit the number of people in the shop to 20.
Daily we:
- Sweep the entire shop
- Sanitize the handrails
- Sanitize the doorknobs
- Sanitize the light switches and electrical outlets
- Sanitize the computer screens and keyboards
- Sanitize the credit card machine
- Clean & Sanitize the Restroom sink, toilet, mirror, and towel dispenser
- Sweep, Wash, and Sanitize the Restroom Floors
- Clean & Sanitize the Restroom Table, Flowers, and Decorations
- Clean & Sanitize the Restroom Handrails
Whenever we have a total 25 people passing through the shop, we:
- Sanitize the handrails
- Sanitize the doorknobs
- Sanitize the light switches and electrical outlets
- Sanitize the computer screens and keyboards
- Sanitize the credit card machine
- Sanitize the Restroom sink, toilet, mirror, and towel dispenser
- Sanitize the Restroom Floors
- Sanitize the Restroom Handrails
Between each customer we:
- Sanitize the Sneeze Shields
- Sanitize the Rental Bows, Arrows, and Arm Guards
- Every target the customers have touched, we change them out
We require every customer that rents a bow to use a finger tab or shooting glove to protect their shooting hand and stop transmission of the virus. After the customer is done with the bow, we sanitize the bow, including the bow string.
This has added at least 4-6 hours/day to our work load, but we do it to keep everyone healthy.
